This section explains what is required to be considered for admission to Sunland. Rates for the
various programs are included, along with a list of Sunland's policies.
Procedures
To inquire about admission to Sunland, please call our main phone number, (760) 944-2976. Callers
should tell the receptionist if they are calling about admission, and they will be connected with
either the Director of Christian Science Nursing, or the Executive Director.
Callers will be asked a number of questions about the prospective patient and specific needs. The
Director of Christian Science Nursing will ascertain if the individual is relying completely on Christian Science
for healing, and if the situation for which he or she needs assistance is one that can be given
proper care at Sunland.
After the initial information is taken, a consultation with the Admission Committee takes place. The
admission decision is made as quickly as possible. Upon arrival to Sunland, the patient or family
member fills out and signs an Admission application and agreement. Patients are required to bring
with them:
- Medicare card
- Social Security card
- Photo I.D.
- Advance Health Care Directive *
- Any applicable health insurance cards and/or information
* Advance Health Care Directive forms are available at Sunland at no charge. An on-site Notary is
usually available.
