Supporting Sunland
|
Sunland, like most non-profits, needs your contributed support in order to continue providing its
valuable services to the Christian Science community. We have not turned away patients due to an
inability to pay, and our daily fees have been kept as affordable as is fiscally possible. Each
year there is a gap between our earned income and the expenses we incur when providing our loving
services.
On average, we need to raise $4 out of each $10 required to run our programs and facilities. This
totals between $600,000 and $750,000 each year, depending upon earned income and occupancy. These
figures are in line with many other Christian Science nursing facilities.
While our goal is to be less reliant upon contributions by increasing earned income, the reality
is that we will not turn away patients who are unable to afford our services. Consequently, we
expect a continued need for contributed funds to fulfill this loving response.
Information is available on specific ways to contribute financially to help support your fellow
Christian Scientists through this Manual-based extension of Church activity. Your support will help
to ensure the availability of your community's Christian Science Nursing Care facility. You can also
read about all the different ways you can offer your talents as a volunteer.
Financial Contributions
Sunland is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means your contributions
are tax deductible. Monetary contributions are critical to Sunland's ability to continue providing its
services to Christian Scientists in need.

If you would like to make a donation at any of the following levels, your help would be gratefully
accepted. Checks should be made payable to "Sunland Home Foundation".
